« Tourist visas move online for Brazil and Argentina »
Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 3:57AM People applying for tourist visas from Brazil and Argentina will be able to do so online with effect from 15 February.
The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) have added Brazil and Argentina to the list of countries eligible to use the eVisa as part of their ongoing efforts to move services online.
With effect from 15 February anyone applying for an e676 tourist visa will be able to d so online which allows for faster processing times. Confirmation is sent to the applicant by email confirming the details of the visa.
The visa entitlements are also provided to airlines through the Advanced Passenger Processing system which will make passport checks at airports easier. If you have an eVisa you do not need to have a label in your passport but you can still print out the details to take with you if you want.
If you are Brazilian or Argentinan and cannot lodge an e676 application online you can still make your tourist visa application directly with the Australian Embassy in Brasilia (Brazil) and Buenos Aires (Argentina) respectively.
